Folli Follie Christmas Outfit

Folli Follie is such a special brand, especially to me! I received my first "proper" watch from Folli Follie as a present one Christmas many moons ago. So I was thrilled to be asked to create a Christmas Outfit by them*.

Triumph SS15 Preview Party

Tuesday, 9 December 2014

Last week I attended the Triumph SS15 unveiling. The event took place at the ultra luxe penthouse suite at the London Edition, accompanied by the most stunning views of the London skyline from their sprawling terrace!

My Top Secret Party Season Saviours | Handbag Essentials

Friday, 5 December 2014

It's that time of year again, when the sparkly dresses, clutch bags and heels come out to play! But party season can be pretty hectic and I have whittled down my top party season saviours to keep your handbag ready to combat any disasters.

Jo Malone | Dark Amber & Ginger Lily Cologne Intense

Monday, 17 November 2014

When buying presents, I try to pick things that are so deliciously decadent that the receiver wouldn't normally buy for themselves. Recently I was lucky enough to receive just that, the Jo Malone Dark Amber & Ginger Lily fragrance as a present.

House of Fraser SS15 Preview

Sunday, 16 November 2014

House of Fraser is my absolute favourite when it comes to stress free shopping trips, especially around Christmas. The novelty of being able to glide from brand to brand, picking up every item from a daunting shopping list, without even having to venture out of the store to wrestle with the ridiculous Christmas crowds, is one that will never wear off for me!

So when an invite to the House of Fraser SS15 preview popped in to my inbox, I was so excited. Blue skies, sunshine and icy cocktails are all in the not too distant future! Being able to sneak a peak at what will be appearing in House of Fraser next year, in their swanky showroom, whilst sipping on delicious elderflower treats, definitely brightened a typically grey and dull London day!

Here are my favourite pretty picks:

My Top Pick Me Up Products

Friday, 17 October 2014

The evenings are getting darker, mornings are getting colder and Starbucks hot chocolates are becoming a necessity...this can only mean one thing...Autumn is here! Although some have a natural affinity with wrapping up in furs and cosying up by a roasting fire, I am definitely more of a summer person. So what better way to ease my post summer sadness than my favourite pick me up products!

Loving Lilac

Friday, 12 September 2014

Hello!

I'm writing this from sunny Portugal where I have been over indulging in a few of my favourite things (excuse the unintentional Sound of Music reference!) Escaping from London for a bit to immerse myself in my never ending stack of books, is always a good idea!

Whilst I have been mostly living in bikinis, last night it was time to get my glam on and head on out for dinner.

Dress: Miss Selfridge
Shoes: New Look
Necklace: J Crew
Bag: YSL

I have a new found love for lilac, it emphasises your tan and is such a "good mood" colour! Trumpet Hems are very "in" this season and are definitely fun to experiment with.

Emma X

Illustrated OOTD

Saturday, 30 August 2014

Summer seems to have come to a grinding halt in London. But I can't help but be typically English and refuse to acknowledge the darker skies and ominous clouds, that have seemingly come to stay. This floral number from Asos is the perfect feel-good dress. It is so easy to transition from day to evening, adding jewels and heels and you are ready to go! Plus the figure enhancing design and fabric mean it is perfect for a cocktail fuelled, indulgent dinner! It creates Kim Kardashian-esque curves instead of unwanted lumps and bumps! The material is a thick scuba type fabric, but it isn't garish or itchy, instead it gives a smooth, hourglass silhouette.

I was lucky enough to be illustrated by the extremely talented Jessica Withey. Who has done the most glamorous and flattering drawing of me in this dress! Did anyone else read in the newspaper about the woman who spent £130,000 to look like a caracterure sketch of her done on holiday?! Although I wouldn't go that far, I would like to say a huge thank you to Jessica for taking the time to draw little old me. I can not recommend her highly enough!

My Top Five Summer Essentials

Sunday, 17 August 2014

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I have been perfecting my summer essentials during my travels. And along the way I have found some magical "must have" products.

A Big Floppy Hat

I don't know about anyone else, but my face is the only part of my body that does not tan, it just burns! I have always covered up my face with some super high SPF and popped on a baseball cap. However, the recent trend in effortlessly chic big floppy hats has made stylishly shading my face a lot easier. For my recent trip to Hong Kong I popped this Oasis beauty in to my ASOS shopping bag. And lucky you guys it has now been reduced in the sale! Bargain. I particularly like the bow on the back, I think it gives a ladylike old Hollywood type feel to it.

Where I've Been Hiding | Hong Kong & Thailand Travel Diaries

Wednesday, 13 August 2014

I am so sorry to repeat the usual "I have been soooo busy.." excuse, but that is unfortunately, definitely the case! I have been a bit MIA these past couple of weeks, travelling as well as running around attending some fun events. But I am back! I thought I would share some snaps of what I have been up to :) I'll be back to my regular posting and already have some very exciting topics lined up for you guys, so stay tuned!

An Evening Of Ice Cream Indulgence With Häagen-Dazs

Thursday, 24 July 2014

On Monday evening I had the pleasure of being whisked (excuse the ice cream pun) away to an evening of deluxe ice cream indulgence with Häagen-Dazs. The sun was definitely shining in London and what better weather for an ice cream tasting treat!

Luxuriously Detox Your Skin With Espa

Tuesday, 22 July 2014

In the past couple of weeks I have been having a sort of detox. This has included juicing and clearing out unwanted clothes (not only a fantastic excuse to go shopping! but also very rewarding to donate to local charity shops.) Alongside these activities I have introduced the Espa "Essential Cleansing Mask*" in to my skincare routine and as a result my skin has never looked better.

Vichy Launch @ The Ham Yard Hotel | OOTD

Thursday, 17 July 2014

On Monday evening I was treated to an evening of delights with Vichy, to celebrate the launch of their new product "Normaderm Night Detox." The event took place at the newly launched and super stylish Ham Yard hotel in Soho. The hotel's decor is luxurious with a contemporary and fun twist. I particularly enjoyed this neon light installation by the bar!

Bicester Village | OOTD

Wednesday, 9 July 2014

Today I had a spontaneous shopping trip to Bicester Village. I've been going to Bicester since it opened and you really can get amazing designer bargains there. It is always fun to browse Prada, Dior, Jimmy Choo, Gucci etc. and be comforted that there is some sort of discount. So really... those Jimmy Choos are a necessity? right?! Although, this time I was very well behaved and mainly window shopped.

Clueless Inspired OOTD

Monday, 23 June 2014

Clueless has got to be one of my favourite girly films. Did you know it was loosely based on Jane Austen's Emma? Well apart from it's serious literary background, the main character Cher's wardrobe has got to the the thing of pretty much all girls dreams. Why is that piece of extremely high tech software she used to put her outfits together still not a thing?!

Anyway, I took the opportunity on a surprisingly sunny London afternoon last week to let out my inner Cher (don't worry...not the singer!) Off I trotted in my all pink attire to meet one of my oldest, best friends for drinks and dinner in Soho.

What is all the buzz about? Bee Good Intensive Hand Repair

Friday, 20 June 2014

As a self confessed hand cream addict I feel as though I have been on the search for a non greasy but effective hand cream since...forever. But I can now say I have found the answer to all my hand cream woes!

My First Favourites Post

Monday, 16 June 2014

Favourite posts are my...favourite (haha) to read. Partly because I am a little bit nosey and partly because I then want to try the products mentioned and see if they become one of my...favourites! So here we go:

Photo from my instagram - my recent purchase of Spanish Pink. How cute is the mini Indian Rose!

Paul & Joe Masterclass | OOTD

Thursday, 12 June 2014

The past couple of days have been a bit of a whirlwind! I got back from my trip to Florida the other day, just in time for the Paul & Joe masterclass. It was a lovely surprise to be welcomed back to England to glorious sunshine! So I was able to pop on my new favourite summer dress by Michael Kors;

My outfit coordination with the Harrods logo was completely accidental!

Floridian Nights

Sunday, 1 June 2014

I am currently on holiday in Florida, enjoying the sun and shopping a little bit too much! When I'm on holiday one of my favourite things to do is to get all dressed up for the evenings. So when this present* from Rare London arrived I knew it was the perfect holiday dress.

#MyRingsMyStyle Launch & A Special Treat From Pandora

Monday, 26 May 2014

I was absolutely thrilled to be invited to the Pandora #MyRingsMyStyle launch party. Held at the Pandora flagship store, it was a glamorous, star studded evening. Filled with all of my favourite things; jewellery, cocktails, cupcakes and celebrity spotting! Excuse the name dropping but to name a few...Gemma Arteton, Jameela Jamil, George Lamb, Lucy Watson, Sam Faiers, Caroline Flack, Amber Le Bon, Rick Edwards and Portia Freeman were all there admiring the gorgeous rings. I also have an exciting treat from Pandora to share ... but you will have to wait until the end of this post ( or you can just scroll if you are feeling particularly excited )

Skin Saviours For a Glowing Airbrushed Complexion

Saturday, 24 May 2014

The Dermablend range has been widely acclaimed for 30 years, by both dermatologists and makeup artists. But would one of their newest additions (the creme compact) live up to to the success of the rest of the range? How would their translucent powder fare compared to those double the price?

OOTN | Pandora #MyRingsMyStyle Launch

Thursday, 22 May 2014

Last night I was fortunate enough to be invited to Pandora's #MyRingsMyStyle launch event at their flagship Marble Arch store. It was such a fabulous, star studded evening. Before I get in to the details of the event I thought I would share my outfit with you guys.

I was lucky enough to meet the beautiful, tiny and tanned Sam Faiers !

An at home manicure fit for the stars !

Sunday, 18 May 2014

Leighton Denny is the manicurist to the stars, he has been known to pamper the paws of Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne and Joan Collins. Alongside his hugely successful nail salon in Harrods, Leighton has won the nail technician of the year award so many times he was been forbidden from entering and promoted to a judge instead! When I was given the opportunity to try a polish* from his eponymous range, I was keen to see if the products would live up to his own prestigious reputation.

La Roche-Posay launch event | Anthelios sun care range

Friday, 9 May 2014

Last night I attended the La Roche-Posay launch for their Anthelios range. The event took place at the most beautiful boutique hotel called "Number Sixteen" in South Kensington, which must be the best kept secret of London! Tucked away in a quiet residential street, it has the most beautiful interiors and stunning "secret garden" as I called it; the perfect setting to showcase this revolutionary range.

OOTD | Busy day in London

Wednesday, 7 May 2014

Yesterday I had some business meetings in London followed by afternoon tea at The Corinthia. Never one to pass up the opportunity to buy a new dress, I ordered this little number for the occasion from ASOS. I loved it so much, I also wore it for Sunday brunch a couple of days before my meetings haha!

My Holy Grail Holiday Must Have

Saturday, 3 May 2014

As many of my lovely readers know I am a Clarins addict! Previously I have written about their skin care products [ My Top Three Clarins Treats & Life Changing Products For Oily/Acne Prone Skin ] Today I will be sharing with you my holy grail holiday must have, their Soothing After sun*.

Summer is fast approaching (hooray!) and along with the new season comes a whole new product wardrobe. After a long luxurious day relaxing in the sun, your skin needs some serious nourishment. After sun is the remedy for all your sun-scorched skin woes. It helps to:

OOTN | Rome from the rooftops!

Monday, 28 April 2014

I was absolutely thrilled when my gorgeous dress from Rare London* arrived just in time for my trip to Rome! I am such a huge fan of Rare, who's pieces regularly feature in a number of celebrities wardrobes (including the always fabulous Millie Mackintosh)

HealGel Body

Saturday, 19 April 2014

The HealGel brand has been taking the beauty world by storm, with fans including the fashion editor of Vogue, Suki Waterhouse and Nigella Lawson. I was so excited when I was asked if I would like to try HealGel Body, as I could see for myself what all the rave reviews were about!

The background of HealGel is very impressive. It was developed by a team of leading plastic surgeons with help from a dermatological biochemist and a leading actor. So really you can see why their products are so effective. They have every aspect covered and the scientific knowledge to create products that really work.

Brighten Up Your Spring Days With A Pop Of Pastel | OOTD

Thursday, 17 April 2014

Spring is here! The sun is trying it's best to shine through and brighter colours are finally finding their way into our highstreet shops.

Here is an outfit I put together for a London shopping trip, I am trying my very best to steer clear of my usual all black outfits!

Dove Hair Therapy Damage Solutions Intensive Repair Self Warming Hair Mask

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

I am a self confessed hair mask junkie. I am on a constant quest to get my hair in to the best possible condition and have tried countless products on both ends of the price spectrum. However, when the lovely people at Dove asked if I would like to try their intensive repair self warming hair mask, I was so surprised! I have never come across a warming hair mask. I feel like I've been missing out on one of the best haircare secrets known to man (or woman in this case haha)

My Revolutionary Product For a Glowing, Airbrushed Tan !

Sunday, 13 April 2014

It is the time of year where layers slowly start to peel off, beautiful Spring dresses start to flood the shops and *dramatic music* almost the season of bare legs! Fake tan can be a daunting thing, horror stories of streaks, smelling of biscuits and the worry of turning out to be the wrong David Dickinson shade of tanned have always prevented me becoming a regular fake tan user. Looking back, those worries are extremely outdated and tanning technology has moved on by huge amounts; meaning I have wasted years missing out on airbrushed legs and a healthy glow like this one:

My Top Tips For Perfect Paws

Thursday, 10 April 2014

There are very few feelings that match that satisfied fresh out of the nail salon glance down at your perfect manicure and pedicure. However,  for most of us to regularly visit is quite a decadent indulgence, so here are my favourite products to keep your hands and feet looking salon fresh at all times!

Häagen Dazs' Limited Edition Special Easter Treats!

Wednesday, 9 April 2014

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Wait...not Christmas but the amazing time of year where the Easter bunny comes out to play and chocolate eggs are given as presents! When I was contacted by Häagen Dazs and asked if I wanted to try their limited edition Easter dessert I jumped for joy. Häagen Dazs is my most favourite indulgent treat...which I just happen to have most evenings (their Belgian Chocolate is the best ice cream I have ever tasted!)

Playboy Makeup Launch | OOTN

Friday, 4 April 2014

Last night I attended the launch of Playboy Makeup in the UK! I was so excited to finally see what lies behind those infamously exclusive doors to the Playboy club on Park Lane. This is such a luxurious venue which is usually a private members club I believe. I am a huge supporter of Playboy, I even managed to get a quote from Hugh Hefner in to a piece of English coursework on feminism (a positive one obviously) Although Mr Hefner wasn't present, there were the most fantastic group of celebrities and suitably fashionable individuals.

My outfit for the evening had to be glamorous so I went all out with a classic black dress from Zara, teamed with some heels (also from Zara) and my current favourite cream coat from M&S. I accessorised this look with my Louis Vuitton bag and lots of jewellery.

Rare SS14 Launch | OOTD

Thursday, 3 April 2014

I had the pleasure of attending Rare London's SS14 Launch yesterday evening. The launch was held at the very cool "Bounce" Ping Pong club in Holbourn. It was such a fun venue and was absolutely packed even on a wednesday! Our amazing hosts had arranged a private VIP area which had our own ping pong table and showcased their new collection beautifully. The hospitality was so generous, with the most delicious food and drinks flowing throughout the whole evening !

An homage to Stella McCartney

Sunday, 30 March 2014

The name Stella McCartney has become synonymous with effortlessly chic British fashion. She has crafted a brand which has become one of the biggest fashion names worldwide. A huge factor in her success is as Tom Ford says,"her ability to be her own customer". She constantly stuns in outfits that look like they are...well made for her! Stella herself said in Vogue that "I'm always designing things I want to wear" and I think I can speak on behalf of a lot of women ... we want to wear them too! She designs not only for glamorous runway models, which is refreshing and her infamous silhouette dress has got to be one of the most copied looks ever.

Stella's success has not gone unnoticed and in 2013 her efforts were recognised by her Majesty the Queen! She received an OBE for her contributions to British fashion, dressed in a suitably spectacular suit.

My revolutionary product for long voluminous lashes

Thursday, 27 March 2014

Mascaras are a tricky thing to get right. No one wants clumpy spider legs for lashes but neither do you want a mascara that makes pretty much no difference. This random purchase from a frantic, super market sweep-esque Tesco shop has actually turned out to be a revolutionary product for me.

Bloggers Fashion Week Day 1 | OOTD

Wednesday, 26 March 2014

I was absolutely thrilled to be invited to the Bloggers Fashion Week. It was such an amazing idea to host an event where brands can interact directly with bloggers and showcase their creations, coupled with a beautiful location and delicious cocktails...what wasn't there to like?!

The theme for this particular evening was a "Summer Garden Party". For me this meant lots of bright, light, summery colours. This is the outfit I went for (please excuse the not so chic background!)

Kick start your health regimen with Juicing!

Friday, 21 March 2014

Juicing has become a popular phenomenon within the world of celebrity culture. Pictures have been circling for years of glamorous women running around LA with huge cartons of seemingly disgusting concoctions of green gunk! But what are these concoctions and why are they so good for you?!

OOTD - Little London Shopping Trip

Thursday, 20 March 2014

Here is a little outfit of the day post. I am slowly easing in to the world of fashion blogging, another passion of mine. So what better way to start than with a little shopping trip outfit from the other day!

Avène Hydrating Soothing Serum

Sunday, 16 March 2014

In the past couple of weeks I had noticed my foundation not applying properly - looking a bit patchy and sticking in all the wrong places. I hadn't changed my skin care routine at all and could not think of a reason as to why my skin was so dehydrated. Then, just in the nick of time, along came a parcel from fabulous team at Escentual containing the answer to all my skin woes: the Avène Hydrating Soothing Serum.

Style muse - Kim Kardashian

Tuesday, 11 March 2014

Kim Kardashian is the ultimate marmite figure in the world of celebrity. People feel so passionately towards her, with either intense love or seemingly more intense hatred. Countless people exclaim "she has no talent" "why is she even famous". Well, it seems her "talent" is her looks and *ahem* derrière, to put it nicely. But is this really hugely different to models, paid to front campaigns due to their looks? Personally, I admire Kim, not only for her enviable looks but for her incredible work ethic. She has created a hugely successful brand through sheer hard work and determination.

DGJ Organics

Monday, 10 March 2014

I was really excited to receive a package from the lovely people at DGJ Organics the other day. My hair has been needing some serious TLC recently so I was desperate to try these Argan and Berutti Oil products.

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty TAG

Thursday, 6 March 2014

I have been tagged by the lovely Charlotte of Makeup By Candle Light to do the 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty tag! Charlotte does the most wonderful posts on beauty products, her reviews in particular are my absolute favourite as she always gives so much detail of the pros and cons of the product. Definitely have a look at her lovely blog if you haven't already! So here we go:

Tips and tricks for long and strong nails!

Tuesday, 4 March 2014

Hello lovely readers!

Okay so let me start this post by saying please can we ignore that my nails look as though they have been painted by my cat in these pictures! I am by no means a professional manicurist but over the years I have learned some tricks to improve the condition of my nails to help them grow.

Fashionista of the day - Victoria Beckham

Monday, 3 March 2014

There is something so inspiring about an underdog who climbs to the greatest heights and overcomes peoples' preconceptions. Victoria Beckham has successfully shed her previous cheesy "wag" image and progressed in to a fully fledged fashion designer, with Anna Wintour's seal of approval to boot!

My secret beauty tips and tricks!

Sunday, 2 March 2014

I have followed beauty and fashion magazines pretty much since I learned to read! Although this meant over the years instead of analysing Shakespeare I was experimenting with at home hair masks, it has given me a fairly good knowledge of little tips and tricks (if I do say so myself haha..!) There are so many I don't want to turn it in to a marathon read, so this is part one, enjoy!

Sephora Haul

Saturday, 1 March 2014

Hello lovely readers !

This morning I was lucky enough to receive some amazing presents from a loved one who has just got back from America. They are all items I have been desperate to try. The fantastic news is that now Sephora delivers to the UK, so you can get try these products too without having to go a couple of thousand miles on a plane!
