Kim Kardashian is the ultimate marmite figure in the world of celebrity. People feel so passionately towards her, with either intense love or seemingly more intense hatred. Countless people exclaim "she has no talent" "why is she even famous". Well, it seems her "talent" is her looks and *ahem* derrière, to put it nicely. But is this really hugely different to models, paid to front campaigns due to their looks? Personally, I admire Kim, not only for her enviable looks but for her incredible work ethic. She has created a hugely successful brand through sheer hard work and determination.
Anyway, whether you love or loathe her you can not deny she has gone through a remarkable style transformation recently. I absolutely adore what seems to be her staple look nowadays: gorgeous (usually Max Mara) draping jacket, pencil skirt and a cropped jumper, all in neutral tones. This is understated chic at it's best. Not only is it incredibly simplistic yet stylish, she is also embracing her curves but in a tasteful fashion. In contrast to the bandage dresses she once favoured, these new ensembles leave a little something to the imagination.
Okay so maybe she doesn't ALWAYS leave something to the imagination haha! But she pulls it off. It seems Kim has learned the crucial style lesson - legs or cleavage never both. She screamed old Hollywood glam at the Oscars party, in this showstopper dress. Ensuring all eyes were on her, when she isn't even in the film industry! Clever girl.
I'm also loving the more understated makeup looks Kim has been sporting recently. She is infamous for making the make up artists best kept secret, contouring and highlighting, well known. However she seems to be favouring a more subtle look these days, alongside a healthy glowing complexion. I wish she would share her skin care secrets!
